Why Murals Matter

More Than Paint on a Wall

We don't just paint walls.

We create experiences that stop people in their tracks, spark conversations, and leave lasting impressions.

A great mural has the power to transform the way people feel about a space. It can turn a business into a destination, a downtown into a gathering place, and a home into a reflection of the people who live there.

Our murals are designed to do more than fill empty walls. They are created to:

  • Capture attention and inspire curiosity
  • Create memorable experiences people want to share
  • Tell stories that connect with people emotionally
  • Strengthen communities and build pride
  • Transform ordinary places into unforgettable destinations
  • Leave a lasting impression long after someone has walked away

When people connect with art, something special happens. They stop. They look. They smile. They take photos. They bring their friends back. They remember the experience.

That is the power of meaningful public art.

What We Create

Community & Public Art: Bringing People Together

Public art does more than beautify a space. It creates places where people gather, connect, and build memories.

A thoughtfully designed mural can transform an overlooked wall into a source of pride, a conversation piece, and a destination. It can celebrate local history, honor community values, and create a stronger sense of belonging for the people who call a place home.

We create public art that:

  • Strengthens community identity and pride
  • Transforms ordinary spaces into local landmarks
  • Celebrates the stories, people, and history of a place
  • Encourages connection, conversation, and shared experiences
  • Creates memorable spaces that people return to again and again

We believe the best public art leaves more than an image behind.

It leaves people feeling connected to something bigger than themselves.

Commercial Murals: Creating Destinations

The most successful businesses don't just offer products and services. They create experiences that people remember.

A thoughtfully designed mural can transform a storefront, restaurant, office, venue, or vehicle into something that captures attention and sparks curiosity. It gives people a reason to stop, look, take photos, and share their experience with others.

We create commercial murals that:

  • Increase visibility and curb appeal
  • Strengthen brand identity
  • Create memorable customer experiences
  • Encourage social media sharing
  • Transform businesses into recognizable landmarks
  • Give customers a reason to return

The best commercial murals become part of what people remember most. They help tell your story, create an emotional connection, and turn ordinary spaces into places people are excited to visit.

Because great commercial art doesn't just attract attention. It creates an experience people want to come back to.

Your Home, Your Story

Not every meaningful mural belongs in a public space.

Some belong in the places where life happens every day.

We create custom interior murals and private art environments for people who want their homes to reflect who they are. From statement walls and creative studios to immersive rooms and art-filled homes, we design one-of-a-kind artwork that cannot be found anywhere else.

We believe a home should be more than a place you live. It should inspire you, tell your story, and reflect the things you love most. Whether you're looking to transform a single room or create an artistic atmosphere throughout your home, we work with you to bring that vision to life.

We create spaces that:

  • Reflect your personality, passions, and interests
  • Turn ordinary rooms into memorable experiences
  • Create inspiring creative retreats and studios
  • Add beauty, character, and meaning to your home
  • Showcase original artwork created specifically for you

Because your home shouldn't look like everyone else's.

Honesty Under Pressure: Commercial Re-branding & Community Public Art Project-Lincoln, Illinois

Honesty Under Pressure- Located in Lincoln, Illinois 2024

    Project Overview

Whitmans Creations LLC was commissioned to design and install a large-scale Abraham Lincoln mural on a commercial liquor store in Lincoln, Illinois. The mural, titled Honesty Under Pressure, was created in Abraham Lincoln’s hometown, a historically significant community founded by Lincoln before he became president and named in his honor. This project was also the first major mural that brought the initial team together, demonstrating the strength that came from collaboration. Each artist’s individual strengths were able to shine, and the project showed how working together allowed the team to accomplish something greater than any one artist could have achieved alone.

    Scope Of Work

The project required creating a 24-foot by 40-foot exterior mural on a large commercial building. Whitmans Creations LLC traveled across the country with a team of three artists to complete the installation. The job was completed in six days and included both the mural and a complete exterior painting job on the entire building. Equipment included a Skyjack lift and extension ladders to safely access the full working area.

    Creative Concept

The original design was first painted by Rebecca Whitman as a small-scale canvas artwork before being transferred onto the building at full mural scale. The creative concept honored Abraham Lincoln through a bold, recognizable portrait designed to reflect the town’s history, identity, and pride. The mural was created to feel meaningful to local residents while also serving as a memorable visual landmark for visitors.

    On-Site Adaptation

Because the project required travel, exterior building painting, and large-scale mural installation within a short timeline, the team coordinated the workflow carefully from start to finish. The artists adapted the original canvas design to the building’s surface, managed equipment access, and completed the full exterior transformation while working efficiently on site in Lincoln, Illinois.

    Project Impact

The completed mural quickly developed a large online following and has been seen by people across the nation and internationally. It has drawn visitors from outside the area, including international travelers who came to view it in person. News reports aired in Binghamton, New York, and the mural also received local reports and news articles in Lincoln, Illinois. At a time when the town was experiencing economic challenges, the mural helped uplift the community and became a meaningful point of pride. People came to see it, photograph it, and even salute it as a tribute to Abraham Lincoln and the town’s history. Two years later, the business owner shared that the mural is still fabulous, still gaining attention, and still loved by the town. It continues to look as fresh and beautiful as it did the day it was completed. The project demonstrated Whitmans Creations LLC’s ability to travel, coordinate a multi-artist team, collaborate efficiently, complete a full exterior transformation, and deliver a historically meaningful commercial mural at large scale. Wild Hearts and Daydreams- Commercial Mural Project- Johnson City, NY

WIld HEarts and DayDreams/ Location Sugar Lips Ice SHop

      Project Overview

Whitmans Creations LLC designed and installed a large-scale, two-story exterior mural for Sugar Lips Ice Cream Shop in Johnson City, New York. Spanning approximately 30 feet by 70 feet, the project transformed a prominent textured masonry façade into a vivid, highly detailed safari-inspired scene that has become a destination piece for the business and surrounding community.

      Scope Of Work

The mural was completed on an active commercial property while the ice-cream parlor remained open for business. The installation required careful coordination to protect customer safety, maintain pedestrian flow, and ensure daily operations were not disrupted. Equipment included a boom lift, step ladders, extension ladders, and a self-leveling ladder system to safely access upper wall areas and paint above existing stairs.

      Creative Concept

Working from the client’s original vision, the artists developed a unique and imaginative safari scene featuring realistic large-scale animals enjoying oversized ice-cream cones. The composition also included children in culturally respectful clothing interacting with and feeding the animals, creating a colorful, engaging environment that reflected the playful spirit of the business.

      On-Site Adaptation

Part way through the project, the client requested the removal of four lower windows. The team completed this last-minute construction-related adjustment and redesigned the mural layout to integrate the changes seamlessly. This required flexibility in both planning and execution while keeping the overall installation schedule on track.

      Project Impact

Completed in July 2026, the mural received an enthusiastic response from both the client and the community. The finished artwork has drawn visitors from surrounding towns and from many different states, increasing visibility for the ice-cream shop and inspiring conversations about future mural opportunities. More than a commercial installation, the project became a happy, feel-good destination piece. Its whimsical design, paired with realistic detail, brought children and adults onto the same page: reminding children that it is fun to be a kid and life can be joyful, while reminding adults how to feel like kids again. People repeatedly shared that the mural simply made them happy. Some came to the ice-cream stand just because seeing the mural made them feel good, while others stopped back throughout their visits to New York because they were looking forward to seeing it finished before returning home. The project demonstrated the emotional power of public art and Whitmans Creations LLC’s ability to manage complex exterior installations, adapt to evolving site conditions, and deliver memorable public-facing artwork at commercial scale.

      Customer Testimonial

“Our mural is completed and we couldn’t be happier. Becca and Stephen work with so much heart and soul to produce this amazing masterpiece.”

Home Of The Brave- Patriotic: Community & Commercial Public Art Project- Deposit, NY

        Home Of The BRave/ Location K's Inn-Deposit, NY 2026

        Project Overview

Whitmans Creations LLC created a patriotic exterior mural for K’s Inn in Deposit, New York, titled Home of the Brave. The project was completed primarily in their warehouse starting in May 2025, with approximately 90 percent of the artwork finished before final installation. The owners later decided to have a new permanent structure built specifically to display the mural, allowing the completed artwork to become a lasting tribute in the community.

        Scope Of Work

The mural was painted on 10 sheets of exterior sign-writer panels and stored safely over the winter until the new structure was ready. The final installation took place in June 2026 in celebration of Memorial Day and in recognition of the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States. Once completed, the panels were installed on the permanent structure to create a unified large-scale exterior mural.

        Creative Concept

The artwork featured an impressive patriotic design combining the Statue of Liberty, a giant eagle, and a battlefield scene representing soldiers from different wars throughout United States history. The design phase required significant research to ensure the military uniforms were historically accurate, allowing the mural to honor service members with respect, detail, and authenticity.

        On-site Adaptation

Because the mural was created in panels and installed after the structure was built, the team coordinated the timing of storage, transportation, and final placement. The extended timeline required to protect the completed artwork through the winter and prepare it for a permanent exterior installation once the site is ready.

        Project Impact

The mural was honored with a Memorial Day dedication, during which the streets in town were shut down to recognize the artwork and local veterans. Whitmans Creations LLC and the mural received recognition in the local town newspaper and from two separate Binghamton, New York news stations. Artist credit: Rebecca Whitman, Stephen Whitman, and Bruce Greig.

Land Of The Free- Patriotic Mural: Community Revitilization Project, Sayre, PA- 2025

Land Of The Free- Locate in Sayre, PA- 2025

          Project Overview

Whitmans Creations LLC was commissioned by FOVA, Friends of Valley Art, a nonprofit organization that promotes community revitalization through the arts. FOVA sponsors and funds exterior public murals throughout Sayre, Pennsylvania and the surrounding communities, helping to uplift local neighborhoods through public art. The project, titled Land of the Free, was created as a panoramic patriotic mural in Sayre’s historic downtown district, directly next door to the historic Sayre Movie Theater.

          Scope Of Work

The project required creating a 12-foot by 80-foot exterior mural on a public-facing wall in an alley being developed as a mural corridor with work from multiple artists. Whitmans Creations LLC’s mural was designed to serve as a major centerpiece within that growing outdoor gallery. The installation was completed using scaffolding, extension ladders, and step ladders to access the full height and length of the wall.

          Creative Concept

The design depicted the birth of a nation through a majestic American frontier landscape. The composition featured a giant eagle head, two eagles, a flowing American flag, and a beautiful sunset sky that blended seamlessly into the flag. The patriotic imagery was created to feel expansive, inspiring, and deeply connected to American history, freedom, and community pride.

          On-Site Adaptation

Because the mural sits in Sayre’s historic district and within an alley planned for multiple murals, the artwork needed to stand strongly on its own while also fitting into a larger public-art vision. The team carefully planned the panoramic layout so the mural would complement the nearby historic theater, remain visually powerful from the street, and become a memorable focal point within the developing mural corridor.

          Project Impact

The Sayre community responded with strong enthusiasm and affection for the completed mural. The local newspaper reported on the project, and the town hosted a dedication celebration in spring 2026 ahead of the 250th anniversary of the United States. The celebration included the mayor, public speakers, the building owners, and community members who gathered to recognize the mural and the impact of public art in the historic town. The mural strengthened Sayre’s public-art presence, became a major centerpiece of the developing mural alley, and served as a meaningful patriotic tribute for residents, visitors, and the surrounding community. Snow's Hilltop Venue- Commercial Logo Creation Mural- Harpursville, NY- 2026

Snow's Hilltop Venue- Commercial Branding and Logo, Harpursv

            Project Overview

Whitmans Creations LLC painted a large-scale replication of a highly detailed logo on corrugated steel at SNOW’s Hilltop Venue in Harpursville, New York. The mural was created for a beautiful wedding and event center, bringing the venue’s branding to life on a prominent exterior surface while complementing the elegant character of the outdoor event space.

            Scope Of Work

The project required accurately scaling and painting the venue’s detailed logo across a corrugated steel wall. The installation was completed within a tight 10-day window between scheduled events and required careful coordination around the venue’s active calendar. Equipment included a rough-terrain scissor lift, extension ladder, and step ladder to safely access and complete the large exterior surface.

            Creative Concept

The goal was to reproduce the venue logo at a large scale while preserving its detail, balance, and refined presentation. The finished mural served as a strong branded feature for the property and enhanced the visual appeal of the venue’s outdoor wedding and event setting.

            On-Site Adaptation

During the project, rain created a one-day weather setback. The venue also informed the team that the exterior wall had not been properly painted before arrival by the venue’s personal contractor. Whitmans Creations LLC quickly adjusted the work plan, completed the additional painting that had not originally been requested, and still finished the mural one day ahead of schedule.

            Project Impact

The owners of SNOW’s Hilltop Venue were very pleased with the completed project. The mural showcased the elegant beauty of their outdoor wedding venue while strengthening the venue’s brand presence for guests and future events. Artist credit: Rebecca Whitman and Stephen Whitman.

            Customer Testimonial

“I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Stilettos Fine Arts Studio and artist Rebecca Whitman. As the Member/Manager of DHS Rental Properties LLC, owners of Snow’s Hilltop Venue, our family-owned wedding venue, I had the pleasure of working with Rebecca on a custom mural project that has become one of the most admired features of our venue.

From the very beginning, Rebecca was professional, organized, and committed to bringing our vision to life. She listened carefully to our ideas, offered creative suggestions that enhanced the original concept, and worked closely with us to ensure every detail reflected the atmosphere we wanted to create.

Rebecca provided a fair and detailed quote, coordinated the rental of the lift required for the project, and completed the mural within our limited installation window. She delivered exactly what she promised, meeting every commitment she made throughout the project. Her reliability and work ethic made the entire process smooth and stress-free.

The finished mural has exceeded our expectations. It has added significant value to Snow’s Hilltop Venue and has become a favorite feature among our brides and their guests. We consistently receive compliments on how beautiful it is and how it elevates the overall look and feel of the venue. It has become a wonderful backdrop for wedding photos and has enhanced the experience for everyone who visits.

I confidently recommend Rebecca Whitman and Stiletto’s Fine Arts to anyone seeking a talented, dependable, and professional mural artist. Her creativity, attention to detail, and dedication to quality are evident in every aspect of her work. We are extremely grateful for the beautiful addition she created for our venue and would not hesitate to work with her again.”
