Beginner Acrylic Paint Classes

In this level of class we learn basic brush strokes and basic color blending. We focus on using a small color pallet to allow the student to learn how paint works without the confusion of too many colors.  

We learn how to express ourselves in a unique and individual way by focusing on personal color choices, and basic design by using either a sample reference painting or photograph. The student is guided step-by-step through the process with the teacher demonstrating and helping each step of the way. This class level is typically completed in 2 - 2.5 hours.  We recommend this class for teens , adults and children 8 or older who desire to do more grown-up artwork. 

In this level we focus on building a solid foundation of the fundamentals of acrylic painting. This includes: brush strokes... paint blending... and techniques. This level class expands past the basic techniques taught in the Back to the Basics Classes. We take the fundamentals techniques and refine them to allow you to naturally move up in your creative journey with ease and grace.
This level class is geared to teach you how to make choices and changes to the original painting to make it uniquely yours. We also introduce the student to new brushes to start creating new effects, such as the fan brush and the liner brush.

Come learn how to express your unique and individual creativity with the support of an instructor who guides you on your journey in discovering your inner artist. This class level is typically completed in 2.5-3 hours. We recommend this level for customers 10 or older who are showing an interest in growing their artistic skills.

In this level class our students are comfortably switching between the basics fundamental techniques. 

Practice makes perfect.  This level teaches the student  some additional techniques that go past the fundamentals taught in the last two levels. We also introduce new tools to start learning such as pallet knives and detail brushes.

The student is now able to look at the finished product, and with a little help from the instructor is able to determine what technique is being used to achieve the desired effect.

This level prepares the student to naturally move into our intermediate level classes. We highly recommend the student spend a good amount of time in this level before moving up and we welcome the student to communicate with he instructor to develop a plan that is perfect for the individuals growth. 

Our goal is to remove the struggle that can come with trying to go too fast up the ladder of growth. we work with each student to help find the best path to success.

Typically this level class is completed in 3-4 hours. We recommend this level for teens and adults.
